More detail, when you need it
Why would a report encourage giving?
People can decide more confidently when they understand your work and the need. Impact Reports places summaries, readable reports and a giving action together. This supports the journey from learning to giving; it is not evidence that a report caused a donation.
What should our report say?
Explain what happened, what you learned, and what you need next. For example, a seasonal update might describe an activity you delivered, the costs you actually recorded, and the next activity that needs support. This is a writing example, not a measured outcome. Avoid invented impact amounts, exaggerated results or pressure. Get permission before sharing identifiable stories.
Do we need a full annual report?
A short seasonal update can keep supporters informed between annual reports. Upload a PDF or Word document, add a clear summary, choose a free cover design or your own image, and review extracted text before saving. Set a sustainable update schedule for your team.
What must be ready in Wix?
Wix Donations must have an active collecting campaign and supported payments. Wix sets the applicable plan and provider requirements. The app needs the campaign and order permissions used by the integration. Payment availability, recurring support and fees depend on your Wix configuration and provider.
How do we connect the campaign?
In Report Studio, choose Edit giving. Enable Wix donation checkout with report attribution, choose Find Wix donation campaigns, select the campaign, and Save. Add a public donation-page URL for More giving options. The campaign controls amounts and frequencies; the app offers popup text and styling controls.
What does the supporter do?
The giving button label is customizable: Bella Smiles for DD uses Make a difference. The supporter can read, choose that giving action, select an amount, and continue to Wix checkout. Wix handles payment. The demonstration reaches checkout with blank customer fields; no payment was submitted for the guide.
Can supporters give regularly?
Recurring choices appear when the campaign and payment provider support them. Report attribution is a separate optional checkbox; leaving it off does not prevent giving. Engagement recording follows site analytics consent. That also means reporting may miss interactions when consent is declined or connections are blocked.
How do we know a donation happened?
Verify report donations checks matched Wix payment records for app-created, consented report checkouts. Unpaid or unmatched donations are excluded. The selected period filters when checkout started. Recurring renewals and ordinary giving links are not attributed. Refunds update when verification runs again. Site-wide campaign totals are separate. Matching shows the giving path, not proof of causation.
Can this reduce fundraising pressure?
The aim is to help your team communicate progress, make support easier, and learn which reports attract interest. Use that feedback alongside supporter conversations and your wider fundraising plan. Neither the app nor a report guarantees income or removes funding uncertainty.
Reports can support fundraising by building understanding and making giving easier. They do not guarantee donations. The reporting screen shown found no confirmed report-checkout donations; the video does not demonstrate a completed payment or fundraising increase.

Why would a report encourage giving?
Question: Why would an annual report encourage someone to donate? What does it add beyond a donate button?
Answer: A report can show what support made possible, explain how funds were used, and make the next need concrete. That gives people reasons to consider giving.
What should our report say?
Question: What should we include so the report builds trust, rather than feeling like another sales pitch?
Answer: Show verified results, explain costs and challenges, and connect the next funding need to your mission. Use people’s stories only with their permission.
Do we need a full annual report?
Question: We are a small nonprofit. Can we share a seasonal update, or do we need a full annual report?
Answer: No. A focused seasonal update can explain recent progress and the next need. Keep it accurate, useful, and proportionate to the work you do.
What must be ready in Wix?
Question: What do we need in Wix before people can donate through a report?
Answer: Install Wix Donations, prepare a collecting campaign, and configure supported payments. Check Wix’s plan requirements, then approve the app’s donation campaign and order permissions.
How do we connect the campaign?
Question: Once that is ready, where do we connect our donation campaign to Impact Reports?
Answer: Open Giving in Report Studio. Enable Wix donation checkout, find your campaigns, select the right campaign, and save. Keep a public giving link as an alternative.
What does the supporter do?
Question: Show me the supporter’s experience. Can they read first and choose how much to give?
Answer: Yes. They read the report, choose Support, and select an amount. Continue to secure checkout opens Wix’s payment flow. Wix handles the payment.
Can supporters give regularly?
Question: Can someone give monthly, and do they have to agree to tracking to support us?
Answer: Recurring choices depend on the campaign and payment provider. Linking the donation to a report is optional. Engagement reporting also respects the site’s analytics consent.
How do we know a donation happened?
Question: How do we distinguish interest from actual donations? Is clicking Support counted as money received?
Answer: No. In Reporting, use Verify report donations to check matched payment records. Abandoned checkouts are excluded. Recurring renewals and ordinary giving links are not attributed.
Can this reduce fundraising pressure?
Question: Could this help us spend less time chasing funds and more time serving our community?
Answer: That is the aim: clear progress, an easy giving path, and better feedback. Reports can support fundraising, but reliable funding still takes relationships and consistent work.
